| Description of Change | The Medicine and Infotech servers in the Building 28 data Center currently connect back to clay1 and clay2 switches. As part of the 6500 Server Precinct project, the last phase is to migrate the Faculty Servers to clay9 and clay10 switches, which service the servers in the back half of G35. Based on the audit performed, the servers that will be affected by this change are listed here: V:\sandpit\Server Precinct\Infotech & Med - C9 & C10 While this window is 3hrs, the actual outage to any particular server will be about 30sec at most, as all the new connections will have been pre-run, configured, and tested, ensuring that the VLAN assignments are correct. |
